Amelia LaMotte is the Sustainable Tourism Fellow at the Alaska Travel Industry Association, where she Manages the Adventure Green Alaska program. While she originally hails from Washington, D.C., Amelia fell in love with nature during childhood summers spent on a remote island in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

After graduating from college in Pennsylvania, Amelia moved to Anchorage for its world-class access to wilderness and outdoor recreation. She now blends her background in English and Environmental studies to promote travel that benefits both visitors and local communities.

Amelia loves to hike, cross-country ski, and ice skate. So far, her favorite Alaska experience has been hiking the Harding Icefield trail in Kenai Fjords National Park. She is so excited to continue exploring all the state has to offer!
