Currently ranked eighth in the nation for breweries per capita, we have world-class craft breweries and gin and vodka distilleries using distinctive local ingredients like spruce tips, berries, locally-grown grains, and even glacier water to create one-of-a-kind flavors.
Alaskans even make mead from fireweed honey, and wine with local blueberries or elderberries. With new breweries popping up every year, you could easily plan an entire trip around sampling Alaska’s locally-made microbrews, ciders, and other craft beverages.
