Railroad Day Trips

Alaska train trips are a unique and relaxing way to experience Alaska's scenery and wildlife. Some trains offer glass-domed cars that give panoramic views of mountains, forests, and glaciers rolling by, or historic engines and cars that use refurbished equipment from the Gold Rush era. Onboard guides narrate the trip, explaining local history, pointing out wildlife, and answering any questions you may have.
