Fishing Lodges & Packages
To make the most of your Alaska fishing trip, book a backcountry fishing lodge. These remote lodges, often only accessible by float plane or boat, outfit you with all of the gear that you’ll need to spend your days at some of best remote freshwater and saltwater fishing destinations. After a day of fishing, you’ll be treated to delicious home-cooked meals and comfortable accommodations. Most lodges can also arrange other activities including hiking, hunting, wildlife viewing, kayaking, and more.
Salmon and halibut are by far the most popular species for saltwater fishing, while freshwater fishing targets trout, Dolly Varden, king salmon, and many other species in rivers and lakes across the state, including the world-famous Kenai River. Professional fishing guides take you to fishing hot spots every day and will often coordinate freezing and shipping your catch anywhere in the world, or even prepare if for your dinner that evening.
If you'd like to do a float trip, some guide services offer multi-day river trips with overnights at rustic fish camps or backcountry camping.
