Sitka offers RV parks, cabins and many camping areas located on and off the island. Travel the Alaska Marine Highway with your RV, camper or trusty vehicle and spend time exploring all Sitka has to offer. For RV'ers there are accommodations from simple to locations with full hook-ups. Recreational vehicles with holding tanks may dump free of charge at the municipal wastewater treatment disposal facility. If tent camping is more your style, check out Starrigavan Recreation Area, with sanitary facilities, potable water and bear-proof food lockers. The US Forest Service – Sitka Ranger District maintains dry cabins on Baranof, Chichagof and Kruzof islands that are very popular so be sure to make reservations.
