Stay at a wilderness ecolodge located just 10 miles from beautiful Seward, Alaska. Our oceanfront yurt lodging is surrounded by towering mountains and is adjacent to the eastern edge of stunning Kenai Fjords National Park. Our secluded location is accessible only by boat, and we provide boat transportation for all guests - and that includes watching for abundant wildlife along the way! Spend the night in a comfortable yurt, paddle the nooks and crannies of Resurrection Bay in a kayak on a self-guided or guided kayak session with our knowledgeable guide. Explore scenic trails winding from the property, and capture amazing photos of mountains, glaciers, and the bay. One nightly rate means full days, comfortable nights, and our exceptional hospitality. Explore wild Alaska in comfort and at your own pace, away from the crowds. Shearwater Cove opened in 2016 with four custom yurts designed to welcome travelers who value sustainability, outdoor recreation, and the secluded spaces Alaska offers. In 2024, three 'premier' yurts will open to guests desiring a bit more luxury in their yurt experience, with larger sleeping spaces and bathrooms, covered decks, and amazing views, thanks to their location on a prominent knoll at the top of the property. All yurts carry linens, cooking supplies and kitchen facilities, showers, composting toilets, ice chests (guests bring their own ice), and French press coffee makers. We recommend at least two nights to fully embrace the landscape, activities, and vibe of utter relaxation!
