Kennicott Glacier Lodge is located in the center of Wrangell-St. Elias National Park at the National Historic Landmark of the Kennicott Copper Mine. A seven hour drive, or two hour flight, from Anchorage, the family owned Lodge features gracious hospitality, superb dining, breathtaking scenery, and access to many outdoor activities in America's largest National Park. Try walking on the Root Glacier, one of the few easily accessible glaciers in North America. Learn about the unique history of the Kennicott Copper Mine. Or spend your time flightseeing, alpine hiking, or river rafting. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its unique beauty and natural splendor, the Lodge setting is unsurpassed during the May to September summer season.
