Alaska’s Ridgewood Wilderness Lodge is a premier, full-service destination lodge in Halibut Cove – also the home of the renowned Saltry Restaurant, two well-known art galleries and a small coffee shop. Alaska’s Ridgewood Wilderness Lodge is adjacent to the 400,000 acre Kachemak Bay State Park. This is Alaska as you imagine it – an experience rich in both flora and fauna, a unique and remarkable natural heritage, and an exceptional journey from start to finish.

The Ridgewood is arguably an architectural gem amongst wilderness lodges in Alaska, built by Kevin Sidelinger using timbers from the Pacific Northwest and Alaska, creating a building that complements the surrounding wilderness. The Ridgewood features 360 degree wrap-around decks with views of majestic mountains, including oceans, miles of beaches, secluded salt-water coves and estuaries, and manicured lawns and gardens surrounded by native Alaskan forest & vegetation.

Your hosts understand that experiencing Alaska’s great outdoors and many wonders is a primary goal for those active in mind and spirit, so they have designed their activity program with numerous guided and highly personalized adventures to choose from, including Brown Bear Viewing, Deep-Sea Fishing Charters, Fly-In Fishing, Kayaking & Hiking Trips, Alpine Hikes, & Glacier Kayaking. We are eager to help you plan a tailor-made adventure for your family & friends.

For those with a passion for trout fishing we have partnered with Destination Alaska Charters for our new fly-in adventure which offers hiking possibilities in alpine areas, or fishing and kayaking in a mountain lake. Wildlife Boating Tours are available where guests can possibly see whales, sea otter colonies, porpoises, seal haul-outs and sea bird rookeries, and walk along beautiful summer beaches which are perfect for beach-combing or cookouts.

With the beauty of Kachemak Bay and its abundant wildlife and the myriad of hiking trails and mountains within the State Park, Alaska’s Ridgewood Wilderness Lodge is an exceptional and unparalleled destination for anyone searching for adventure, space, beauty, and the opportunity for a truly unique experience!
