Last year, just before the snow came, I had the opportunity to take on an amazing assignment. It was a collaboration between travelalaska and natgeotravel, where we explored how travelers could experience Indigenous culture in southeast Alaska through local businesses and art. For two weeks, tlingit.witch and I visited some of our favorite local businesses, scenic locations and got to meet some amazing artists we admire.

First time exploring a glacier cave in Alaska ❄️ This hike was just over a 4km (about 2.5 miles) round trip to the cave so it’s super accessible. What impressed me the most was seeing these insane ice crystal formations on the ceiling of the cave, which got super low the further you went in. I wish I brough my macro lens because the detail was truly incredible, but 24-70mm still did a great job capturing it. Definitely one of those low-risk, high reward type of hikes🥾(swipe to the end for some crispy ice crystal ASMR🔊)

Last year, just before the snow came, I had the opportunity to take on an amazing assignment. It was a collaboration between travelalaska and natgeotravel, where we explored how travelers could experience Indigenous culture in southeast Alaska through local businesses and art. For two weeks, tlingit.witch and I visited some of our favorite local businesses, scenic locations and got to meet some amazing artists we admire.
I’ve included some of my favorite photos from our adventure above, but in the coming week, I will be sharing individual posts about the artists we profiled.
