Come discover historic Wasilla! Experience interactive dog mushing and gold mining exhibits. Historic buildings open to the public. Tours by request. The Wasilla Museum consists of eleven historic structures in downtown Wasilla, including two listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Museum collects, preserves, interprets and educates the public about the history of Wasilla, Knik and Willow Creek Mining Areas. The Museum is housed in the 1931 community hall building. Admission is $3.00 for adults, $2.50 for seniors and $2.00 for military and groups of 10 or more. Children 12 and under are free. Tours for school and civic groups are free. Limited meeting space is available upon request. Dining options and other amenities available downtown near the Museum.
