Alaska Birch Syrup and Wild Harvest Products
When Dulce & Michael East started Kahiltna Birchworks-their birch syrup business 30 years ago, they had no syrup making experience just a desire to live on their homestead in the Alaskan wilderness & make a living off the land. Surrounded by birch trees in Alaska's boreal forest, it made sense to "tap into" this abundant resource. The Easts now tap 10,000 trees near Talkeetna & purchase sap, berries & chaga from local collectors. The Easts have successfully pioneered the birch syrup industry in Alaska & beyond & are currently the world's largest birch syrup producer. Alaska Wild Harvest is a true "goods from the woods" Alaska cottage industry & emphasize sustainable use of Alaska's forest resources. Come tour our facility, taste our goods from the woods, and share our vision.
