Northeast Interior

Inside Passage Southcentral Southwest Interior Far North

Northeast Interior is off the beaten path and off the road system, but contains two Alaska treasures. The community of Fort Yukon is one of the older settlements in Alaska and remains the largest primarily Athabascan village in Alaska. An interesting and historical village, Fort Yukon sits on the Yukon River, is just north of the Arctic Circle and provides some of the best Northern Lights viewing from October through March.
