The award-winning Pratt Museum is a community gathering space presenting the science, art and culture of Alaska’s Kachemak Bay region. Indoor exhibits feature natural history, Native cultures, art, homesteading, quilts, fishing, and marine ecology with live aquaria. In the summer, live remote video shows pelagic seabirds at a rookery in Kachemak Bay. Outdoor exhibits include the historic Harrington cabin, a botanical garden, and trails throughout the Pratt Museum’s over 10-acre wooded site. Special events are held throughout the year including cultural events, educational programs, lectures, and community discussions. Check our website for details. Museum admission: $10 adults, $8 seniors, $5 ages 6-18, under 6 free. Summer hours: 10am- 6pm daily. Winter hours: Tues – Sat noon to 5pm.
