Pioneer Park opened in 1967 as the “Alaska 67 Centennial Exposition” to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the purchase of Alaska from Russia. 2017 is our 50th Anniversary! Celebrate with us! A local family favorite – be sure to come and enjoy some fine dining or a quick snack. Ride the train and learn fun facts about Park features. Play mini-golf, catch a live show, enjoy the carousel and playgrounds, picnics and volley-ball. Walk through eight interactive museums, visit with Alaskan artists and craftsmen, and see authentic Pioneer era artifacts on display. Pioneer Park is open to pedestrians year-round, from 7am to midnight. Concessions are open Memorial Day through Labor Day, noon to 8pm. Admission is FREE. Museums & activities may charge a small fee or ask for a donation.
