A scenic drive north of Fairbanks quickly immerses you into the truly Alaskan world of Black Spruce Dog Sledding. We are open year-round, offering authentic, interactive mushing tours with panoramic views of the vast Alaskan wilderness. All of our tours include lots of hands-on time with our genuine long-distance racing sled dogs. Meet Iditarod and Yukon Quest finishers - human and canine! We'll teach you how to harness and hook up the dogs, then take you on an unforgettable dog mushing run. During winter you'll even get a chance to try driving the dog sled! During no-snow times of year, we use a 5-passenger wheeled vehicle for mushing instead. In summer and fall, our tour groups are kept very small (typically less than five people). In winter, all tours are private.
