Situated on beautiful Resurrection Bay, the Alaska SeaLife Center is the only facility of its kind in Alaska, combining a public aquarium with marine research, education, and wildlife response. It is Alaska’s only permanent marine mammal rescue and rehabilitation facility, and the state’s only Association of Zoos and Aquariums accredited facility. Highlights of an ASLC visit include Steller sea lions, seals, octopuses, touch pools, fish, and an aviary hosting 11 bird species and the deepest seabird diving pool in North America. Behind the Scenes tours are offered, as well as Octopus, Puffin, and Marine Mammal encounter tours that engage visitors directly with animals and their caretakers. The ASLC is open daily; call for hours or visit our website.
