Come Share an Anniversary with Alaska

With so many reasons to visit Alaska, we’re adding a few more to your list. Over the next few years, Alaska will celebrate key anniversaries in our state’s history. These milestones mark how we shaped the “Last Frontier” and made Alaska an unforgettable vacation destination. From the purchase of Alaska from Russia in 1867 to the first ascent of Mount McKinley in 1913 to the founding of the city of Anchorage in 1915, there’s a chance for you to join the party and learn more about our state’s history.
