Shaped by the staggering force of massive glaciers millions of years ago, Alaska’s Inside Passage boasts wildlife-filled fjords and lush island scenery — habitat for bald eagles, sea lions, porpoises and whales. I am a three time visitor to Alaska. If you are ready to go but, can not decide what city to depart from this may help. Both Seattle and Vancouver are great. Seattle airport much easier and smaller to get around in. Plus, when booking your trip Gray Line offers a great bus ride to and from ship...or for $40-$45 including $10.00 tip jump in a cab. After you set sail, the buffets are a great way to enjoy your meals. They are at the tail end of the ship enclosed in glass so you never miss a thing. You can still enjoy fine dining onboard but for those days you want to dress casual, the buffets are all you can eat and it come with your ticket.
