Had a great time in Alaska. Did the south bound cruise on Royal Caribbean Cruise line - Radiance of the Seas. We had great weather - saw the sun. Highlight of the trip was the float plane in Juneau over 5 Glaciers and landed at the Taku Lodge for a salmon bake and saw BEAR!!!! That made the trip. Loved Skagway and the White Pass Railroad - was awesome and breath taking views - a must see. Loved the state and the people.
Much to my surprise, I loved Alaska! For the past 25 years I have travelled the Caribbean and Mexico but now, I have Alaska and the Yukon on my mind! There was not one thing I did not enjoy about our trip. One thing we wondered when we planned our trip is whether to go flightseeing or not since it was one of the more expensive tours. Well, let me tell you, GO FLIGHTSEEING! Yes, it was expensive but it was well worth every penny! You just can't imagine how beautiful the glaciers and icefields are. Some of our favorite photos are from the plane window. They are incredible! We enjoyed every minute and it changed us forever.
