The community of Kasilof is centered on the Kasilof River and Sterling Highway 160 miles south of Anchorage, 60 miles north of Homer, and 105 miles east of Seward and a great little place to base your Kenai Peninsula adventures out of. Kasilof is actually spread over a 90-square-mile area and provides highway services, accommodations including cabins and bed and breakfasts, public and private campgrounds and tons of fishing services, guides and charters.
Because of its location near the Kasilof River and several area lakes, Kasilof is a popular summer recreation destination. State recreation sites near Kasilof include Crooked Creek, Johnson Lake and Kasilof River areas. All have campgrounds and all offer excellent access to great fishing.

Location: Kasilof is located on the east shore of Cook Inlet on the Kenai Peninsula. It lies on the Sterling Highway, 12 miles south of the city of Kenai.
Access: By road on the Sterling Highway, 160 miles south of Anchorage and 60 miles north of Homer.
Accommodations: Numerous cabins, bed and breakfasts, campgrounds, restaurants and services in the area.
