Bering Sea Crab Fishermen's Tour
http://www.56degreesnorth.com/
Join the Captain and crew of the Aleutian Ballad, a famous crab boat seen on season 2 ofthe Deadliest Catch. Set out in the calm, protected waters of coastal Ketchikan and relax in the vessel’s heated and sheltered outdoor amphitheater as you explore the incredible scenery of Alaska. On deck, a skilled fishing crew will haul up crab pots and long lines from the depths, revealing all manner of sea life including King crab, snow crab, shark, octopus, prawns, and rock fish. The catch is then placed into an on-deck tank for you to view and interact with. Throughout the entire tour are the stories of the men who have spent their lives working at sea. Common tour sights include an incredible bald eagle display, seals, sea lions, whales, and native Alaskan fishermen working the scenic coastline.
