Anchor Point is located on the Kenai Peninsula and is accessible by road at Mile 156 of the Sterling Highway, just 14 miles northwest of Homer.
Charter Fishing +
Charter fishing boats based in Anchor Point provide anglers easy access to the Cook Inlet fishery. Halibut fishing is most popular from May through September. In May and June and again from late June through July charter captains focus on king salmon in the Cook Inlet and then silver salmon from mid-July to the middle of August.
Western shore of the Kenai Peninsula, including Anchor Point, is renown for its clamming and both locals and visitors harvest hundreds of thousands of razor clams annually from the muddy shoreline at low tide.
