Charter Fishing +
Charter fishing boats based in Anchor Point provide anglers easy access to the Cook Inlet fishery. Halibut fishing is most popular from May through September. In May and June and again from late June through July charter captains focus on king salmon in the Cook Inlet and then silver salmon from mid-July to the middle of August.
Clamming +
Western shore of the Kenai Peninsula, including Anchor Point, is renown for its clamming and both locals and visitors harvest hundreds of thousands of razor clams annually from the muddy shoreline at low tide.
Kids All-American Fishing Derby +
Held on the Saturday of National Fishing Week, the Kid's All-American Fishing Derby is highlighted by a big fish contest and casting contests for children. All events are free to kids under the age of 16 and followed by a picnic for contestants and families.
Snow Rondi Winter Festival +
This four-day festival offers winter fun in a variety of activities, including snowshoe softball, a parade, pool tournament, bazaar, costume ball, Nordic and snow machine events, auction and bingo.
